I have difficult feet, chubby, wide and a high instep. This was my second pair of Hemp shoes, I have brown and now blue. I love the colours, comfort and sustainability of these shoes.

Good comfy sneakers and wide enough for a slightly wider foot. The inner sole is quite stiff and firm when compared to chucks or vans but still comfy - think Birkenstock soles. Would buy again.
Love these shoes. Super comfy and they have moulded to my feet which is great. Would definitely recommend.
This is my second purchase from Collective Canvas. I got them because I was so impressed with the first pair I bought. I love the designs, and they're made with top quality materials. They also fit me perfectly, and are very comfortable to wear.
Comfy shoes but not convinced they are worth the hassle. The laces gave out and snapped almost straight away, and had to be replaced (happened to both sets). Then the canvas colour faded quickly, the shoes are now a ashy/dark grey colour. Lastly, they tore from under the ankle to the sole. I will try and get them repaired but not sure I would purchase again. I've had the shoes less than a year.
Hi Donald, thanks for the feedback - genuinely appreciate it as even more challenging reviews provide good points for us to be continually improving against.
1. Re the laces - this has been a ongoing problem that's plagued some of our production over the past few years. We've finally changed suppliers so this shouldn't be an issue going forward. I wish you'd reached out at the time - we send out replacement sets to everyone who needs them.
2. The fading on our darkest colour pairs is a difficult compromise we've had to make when using environmentally friendly dyes.
3. The 'tearing through from the ankle to the sole' definitely isn't typical of our quality and is hard to gauge without seeing photos, but this can happen with a lot of wear over a long period of time. It's something that all canvas sneakers have to contend with, as natural fibre canvas ultimately doesn't have quite the same shear strength when compared to some synthetics. We think it's a compromise worth making however!
This is the first pair of sneakers that haven't given my husband a blister. He wore them for a whole day from new with no problems and commented how comfortable they were for a new shoe. The casual and old school style was a winner! plus the natural fabrics +! Would definately love more of this brand.
the shoes are very comfortable and are very well made. if you are between sizes after measuring your feet i would suggest sizing up as i feel like they will be a little tight in warmer weather (although the material may also relax a bit). i will say, the olive colour is far more olive than the pictures show (the pictures look more sage to me, however in real life the shoes are darker and have more of a true olive colour, maybe even khaki). overall pretty happy with my purchase, and love how sustainable they are!!
I switched to barefoot/minimalist shoes almost 10 years ago. although these don’t exactly fit into that category. They’re very comfortable with the foot issues I have. I would prefer a slightly wider toe box but overall extremely happy with these shoes. Comfortable and stylish. I kind of want one of every colour!
These are the comfiest shoes I've ever bought. Really happy with my purchase. true to size and they mould to your feet quickly. I am definately going to buy some of the other styles to add to my wardrobe!
Bought along with with Ecru and Coffee Looper. Found canvas quite stiff with the Navy, guessing this is just the dye and anticipate they will loosen with wear.
Love the colour, not to dark but makes the perfect statement.
So comfortable on first wear and excellent colour for all outfits. Was delighted to find the extra shoelaces tucked into the box. Looking forward to enjoying these this summer!

This is my third pair of collective canvas sneakers - so comfy and great value for awesome quality!
The sneakers are excellent quality, a perfect fit, and (imho) very stylish. Ordering and delivery were straightforward, and they were packaged well too. I actually bought a second pair (different style) as I was so impressed with these.
Really comfy and I like how they included black laces too. Lovely informative customer service, answered all my questions and felt great not only supporting the environment but an NZ company too. Already eyeing up another pair to buy.
Comfortable and versatile. Have worn them almost everyday since they arrived.
Happy with the shoes - the insoles are comfy compared to other similar lightweight shoes.
Sizing comes up slightly small to size I think so if between sizes maybe go for the bigger size.
So comfortable with the wider toe width and no blisters from the first wear! Great sustainability ethic too
